Asheville guard whose journey runs from Norman to France

Jordan Shepherd is from Asheville, North Carolina. At Asheville Christian Academy he averaged 19.2 points, 5.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds as a senior and was named the Carolinas Athletic Association Player of the Year.

He played two seasons at Oklahoma (2016–17 and 2017–18), appearing in 59 games. As a freshman he got his first career start against Memphis on December 17, 2016, and scored a career-high 18 points in 37 minutes. He was averaging just 2.7 points coming into that game.

Shepherd transferred to Charlotte, where he started all 52 games he played over two seasons. In 2019–20 he led the 49ers in scoring (14.0 points) and assists and made third-team All-Conference USA. He finished at California in 2021–22, averaging 14.6 points.

After going undrafted in 2022, Shepherd played professionally in Sweden (Uppsala) and Cyprus (AEL Limassol), then spent two seasons with JA Vichy in France's second division, averaging 14.0 points in 2025–26. For 2026–27 he signed with Entente Orléans 45, also in the LNB Pro B. As of October 8, 2026, he is with Orléans.
