'CeeDee': the Sooner who became the Cowboys' superstar receiver
Cedarian 'CeeDee' Lamb was born in Opelousas, Louisiana, and lived in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina forced his family to relocate to Houston. At Foster High School in Richmond, Texas, he caught 98 passes for 2,032 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior.
At Oklahoma (2017–2019) he was electric from day one, setting a Sooner freshman record with 807 receiving yards in 2017. He caught passes from two Heisman winners, Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, and as a junior in 2019 he was a consensus All-American and a Biletnikoff Award finalist.
The Dallas Cowboys drafted Lamb in the first round (17th overall) in 2020, and he became one of the NFL's elite receivers. In 2023 he led the league with 135 receptions, totaling 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, and was named first-team All-Pro. In August 2024 he signed a four-year, $136 million extension. He has made five Pro Bowls.
As of October 8, 2026, Lamb is an active wide receiver for the Cowboys, alongside fellow Sooner Tyler Guyton.
