Joe Moore Award lineman from Louisiana, now looking for his next stop

Cody Ford hails from Pineville, Louisiana, and starred at Pineville High School. He originally committed to TCU before flipping to Oklahoma.

After redshirting in 2015, Ford started the first three games of 2016 before a broken fibula against Ohio State ended his season. He came back strong, and in 2018 he was a third-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12 on an Oklahoma offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award as the nation's best unit. When he declared for the 2019 draft, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. ranked him the No. 3 guard available.

The Buffalo Bills selected Ford in the second round (38th overall) of the 2019 NFL draft. He played in Buffalo from 2019 to 2021, spent 2022 with the Arizona Cardinals, and then joined the Cincinnati Bengals, signing a two-year extension in March 2025. In a December 28, 2025 win over Arizona, on his birthday, he caught his first career pass, a 21-yard reception from Joe Burrow.

The Bengals released Ford on August 24, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, he is a free agent who has recently worked out for NFL teams.
