Consensus All-American linebacker who came back for one more year
Danny Stutsman was born in Boca Raton, Florida, and attended Foundation Academy in Winter Garden, Florida. He was a two-way force there. As a junior he made 110 tackles and also caught 44 passes for 891 yards and 12 touchdowns. He finished high school with 333 tackles, 20 sacks and eight forced fumbles. A three-star recruit, he committed to Oklahoma.
Stutsman played four seasons for the Sooners (2021–2024). After 38 tackles as a freshman, he broke out in 2022 with a Big 12-leading 125 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions, including a career-high 18 tackles against Texas Tech. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2023. Many expected him to enter the 2024 draft, but in December 2023 he announced he was returning for his senior season. It paid off: in 2024 he was a consensus All-American and first-team All-SEC in Oklahoma's first SEC season.
The New Orleans Saints selected Stutsman in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2025 NFL draft. As of October 8, 2026, he is an active linebacker for the Saints and has already piled up more than 60 career tackles.
