Deion Burks

Wide receiver · Indianapolis Colts · active · OU 2024-2025

Michigan-made receiver who scored three TDs in his Sooner debut

Deion Burks grew up in Inkster, Michigan, and attended Belleville High School. As a junior he caught 35 passes for 819 yards and 12 touchdowns to earn All-Michigan honors, and in 2020 he helped Belleville to a 9-0 record and the state semifinals.

He began his college career at Purdue (2021–2023). In 2023 he led the Boilermakers with 47 catches, 629 yards and seven touchdowns. He then transferred to Oklahoma, where he made an instant splash. In the 2024 opener against Temple, he caught three touchdown passes and became the first Sooner ever to do that in his OU debut. Injuries limited him to five games that year, but his 31 catches were the most ever by a Sooner in his first five OU games. In 2025 he started all 13 games, caught 57 passes for 620 yards and four touchdowns, and posted 107 yards in the College Football Playoff first round against Alabama.

The Indianapolis Colts drafted him in the seventh round (254th overall) in 2026. As of October 8, 2026, Burks is an active wide receiver for the Colts.
