Bo Bolinger
1956 · Round 13 · Pick 149 · G · Chicago Cardinals
Bo Bolinger was born in Oklahoma and played at Muskogee Central High School with Kurt and Bob Burris and Max Boydston, a group known as the "B Boys" who all went on to OU. He was a consensus All-American guard on the 1955 national title team and finished ninth in the Heisman voting. The Chicago Cardinals drafted him in the 13th round, 149th overall, in 1956, but he played that season for the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos. He then coached at Miami (Oklahoma) High School, Denver, Tulsa, New Mexico, Utah State and the Calgary Stampeders, and joined the Cardinals as a scout in 1971. He died on August 5, 2011. Pro Football Reference has no player page for him. The Daily Oklahoman wrote on November 27, 1955 (NewsBank page 102): "Bo Bolinger, who had to hustle through the post-game activities to catch a plane for New York City and Sunday's Collier's All-American celebration, said the Aggies played a tough ballgame."
