Brandon Jones

2005 · Round 3 · Pick 96 · WR · Tennessee Titans

Brandon Jones was born in Texarkana, Texas, and played at Liberty-Eylau High School. The New York Yankees drafted him in the 28th round in 2001, but he didn't sign. At Oklahoma he played receiver alongside Mark Clayton and Mark Bradley. Tennessee drafted him in the third round, 96th overall, in 2005, after both of those teammates had been taken. He played four seasons for the Titans and in 2009 signed a five-year, $16.5 million deal with San Francisco, but he caught only one pass for the 49ers that year. He later had short stints with Seattle and Baltimore. His NFL totals are 113 catches, 1,398 yards and nine touchdowns. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman wrote on November 9, 2001: "Jones played outfield for Liberty Eylau High School in Texarkana, Texas, well enough to be drafted in the 28th round by the New York Yankees."
