Brody Eldridge
2010 · Round 5 · Pick 162 · TE · Indianapolis Colts
Brody Eldridge is from La Cygne, Kansas, where he was an all-state player at Prairie View High School before a broken ankle ended his senior season. At Oklahoma, coaches regarded him as one of the team's best blockers, and he played tight end, fullback and even offensive line. He was second-team All-Big 12 in 2009, when he started at center, tight end and left guard before a season-ending neck injury against Nebraska. Considered the best blocking tight end in the draft, he went to Indianapolis in the fifth round, 162nd overall, in 2010. He was the second OU tight end drafted that year, after Jermaine Gresham. He started 16 of 27 NFL games for the Colts and Bears and is retired. The Oklahoman wrote on December 13, 2006: "Eldridge, a 6-foot-5, 258-pound redshirt freshman, was signed as a defensive end when he came out of Prairie View High School in La Cygne, Kan."
