CeeDee Lamb was born in Opelousas, Louisiana, and grew up in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina forced his family to Houston in 2005. At Foster High School in Richmond, Texas, he had 98 catches for 2,032 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior. He was a consensus All-American and first-team All-Big 12 in 2019. Dallas drafted him in the first round, 17th overall, in 2020. He has made five straight Pro Bowls (2021–2025) and three All-Pro teams, including first-team in 2023, when he led the NFL in receptions. His career totals are 610 catches, 7,923 yards and 45 touchdowns, and he is active with the Cowboys. Tidbit: the nickname "CeeDee" came from a fourth-grade coach who couldn't pronounce his given name, Cedarian. The Tulsa World wrote on August 30, 2017: "OU football: CeeDee Lamb's journey from Texas high school star to Sooners starting wide receiver."
