Chris Wilson

1992 · Round 12 · Pick 331 · LB · Chicago Bears

Chris Wilson lettered four years at Oklahoma (1987–1991), made 303 career tackles, and was a two-time captain. He was second-team All-Big Eight in 1989, 1990 and 1991. Chicago drafted him in the 12th round, 331st overall, in 1992. He then built a long coaching career at OU, Indiana State, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Illinois State, Colorado, Mississippi State, Georgia and USC. He won a Super Bowl LII ring on Philadelphia's staff and later served as Arkansas' interim defensive coordinator. Note: his Wikipedia article gives conflicting birthplaces (Carnegie, Oklahoma, in the infobox and Richardson, Texas, in the text). He attended Richardson High School. It doesn't describe any NFL playing career, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has no player page for him. Tulsa World wrote on October 11, 1989: "A native of the Dallas suburb of Richardson, the soft-spoken Wilson elected instead to recall the fond memories he had as youngster learning about OU-Texas week." The Oklahoman wrote on August 25, 1991: "Wilson was named third-team All-America by the Football News and second-team all-conference by the coaches and both wire services."
