David King

2013 · Round 7 · Pick 239 · DE · Philadelphia Eagles

David King was born in Houston and attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. He played defensive end at Oklahoma, and Philadelphia drafted him in the seventh round, 239th overall, in 2013. He spent his first two years on the practice squads of the Eagles and Bengals, then got on the field for Seattle (2014–2015) and Kansas City (2015–2016). In 2017 the Chiefs traded him to Tennessee for a 2018 seventh-round pick, and the Titans released him in 2018. His NFL totals are seven tackles and 2.5 sacks, and he is retired. Note: his Wikipedia article doesn't cover his OU career, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman wrote on December 1, 2011: "David King was raised the only child of a single mom."
