Dominique Franks

2010 · Round 5 · Pick 135 · DB · Atlanta Falcons

Dominique Franks was born in Tulsa and attended Union High School. He was a second-team All-Big 12 cornerback at Oklahoma in 2008, and he skipped his senior season to enter the 2010 draft. Atlanta drafted him in the fifth round, 135th overall, and he played four seasons with the Falcons (2010–2013) before brief stints with Baltimore in 2014 and the FXFL's Hudson Valley Fort in 2015. His NFL totals are 48 tackles, 14 pass deflections and three interceptions. He moved into coaching: the USFL's New Jersey Generals hired him as defensive backs coach in 2022, and he is now the cornerbacks coach at the University of Tulsa. Note: the available sourced information is limited, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman wrote on December 30, 2007: "Franks lost both his stepfather and father while in high school, making him the man of his family when he was still just a boy."
