Donald Stephenson
2012 · Round 3 · Pick 74 · OL · Kansas City Chiefs
Donald Stephenson was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and played at Blue Springs High School. He played offensive tackle at Oklahoma, and Kansas City drafted him in the third round, 74th overall, in 2012. He started 21 games at both tackle spots and guard in four seasons with the Chiefs and served a four-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs in 2014. In 2016 he signed a three-year, $14 million deal with Denver and started at right tackle for most of that season. He signed with Cleveland in 2018 but went on the reserve/retired list that July after a two-game suspension. He started 37 of 80 career games. Note: his Wikipedia article doesn't cover his OU career, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman wrote on May 7, 2012: "Stephenson attended Kansas City's Central High School before his mother moved the family to a Blue Springs apartment late in his high school career." The same article says: "A two-year starter for the Sooners protecting quarterback Landry Jones' blindside, Stephenson was the 74th overall pick to his hometown team."
