Jerald Moore

1996 · Round 3 · Pick 83 · RB · St. Louis Rams

Jerald Moore was born in Houston and attended Jack Yates High School in the city's Third Ward. He joined Oklahoma in 1993 as a top running back recruit and was first-team All-Big Eight in 1994 and 1995. He was nicknamed "Thunder" for his power. He was drafted in the third round, 83rd overall, in 1996 and played four NFL seasons for the St. Louis Rams and New Orleans, finishing with 705 rushing yards and six total touchdowns. His son Kameron also attends OU. Source conflict: Wikipedia's draft list shows the Arizona Cardinals, but OU's list and his own Wikipedia article say the Rams. Pro Football Reference's OU draft table also lists St. Louis, round 3, pick 83. This bio and master.csv use the Rams. Note: the information is limited, so this bio is short. The Lawton Constitution wrote on November 25, 1994: ""Thunder" is Jerald Moore, the 230-pound sophomore from Houston who tied Steve Owens' school record with five touchdowns in OU's 33-14 victory over Oklahoma State."
