Keenan Clayton

2010 · Round 4 · Pick 121 · LB · Philadelphia Eagles

Keenan Clayton was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and played at Sulphur Springs High School. He played linebacker at Oklahoma, and Philadelphia drafted him in the fourth round, 121st overall, in 2010, signing him to a four-year contract. The Eagles released him in August 2012, and he played the 2012 season for Oakland. He later had brief stints with Arizona in 2014 and on the CFL's Toronto Argonauts practice roster. His NFL total is 48 tackles, and he is retired. Note: his Wikipedia article doesn't cover his OU career, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference (PFR) lists him: born June 19, 1987 in Sulphur Springs, TX; high school Sulphur Springs (TX); 6-2, 220 lb; position LB. PFR shows him with PHI 2010-11, OAK 2012 (36 games, 1 start, 3 Approximate Value). PFR stat line: 3 yrs: 0 Int, 3 PD, 0 FF, 0 FR, 0.0 sacks, 48 comb tackles (38 solo, 10 ast), 1 TFL; postseason 1 G. PFR shows no Pro Bowl or All-Pro honors. The Oklahoman wrote on September 11, 2008: "Eventually, Clayton phoned home to Sulphur Springs, Texas, and presented those same concerns to his dad."
