Mark Andrews

2018 · Round 3 · Pick 86 · TE · Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age nine. At Desert Mountain High School, with Kyle Allen at quarterback, he set the state career receptions record as a receiver (later broken by Kurt Warner's son, Kade). At Oklahoma he moved to tight end. He won the 2017 John Mackey Award, was a unanimous All-American, and was first-team All-Big 12 twice. He left OU with 22 touchdown catches and the program's tight-end record of 1,765 receiving yards. Baltimore drafted him in the third round, 86th overall, in 2018. He made three Pro Bowls (2019, 2021, 2022) and was first-team All-Pro in 2021, when he set Ravens single-season records for receptions and receiving yards. Through 2025 he is Baltimore's career leader in catches (506), yards (6,129) and touchdown catches (57). He is active with the Ravens. Tulsa World wrote on December 6, 2017: "His grandfather Jack Andrews was an OU student during the legendary 47-game win streak." Tulsa World wrote on April 27, 2018: "Andrews and Brown were consensus All-Americans last season, along with OU quarterback Baker Mayfield."
