Rickey Brady
1994 · Round 6 · Pick 167 · TE · Los Angeles Rams
Rickey Brady was born in Oklahoma City and played at Putnam City West High School. He lettered four years at tight end for Oklahoma and was first-team All-Big Eight as a senior in 1993. He also played on the 1990–91 OU men's basketball team. The Los Angeles Rams drafted him in the sixth round, 167th overall, in 1994. He played one NFL game but spent time with about a dozen NFL teams through 2001, played for the World League's Scottish Claymores, and was the 37th pick of the 2001 XFL draft, by the Las Vegas Outlaws. OU's list spells his name "Ricky." Note: public sources on him are thin, so this bio is short. Pro Football Reference has a player page for him (linked below), but its stats weren't pulled for this bio. The Oklahoman wrote on February 15, 1990: "Brady's father, Rick, was a former Bethany police officer." The Oklahoman wrote on August 8, 1998: "Brady, a Parade All-American coming out of Putnam West High School in Oklahoma City, was a sixth-round pick of the then-Los Angeles Rams in the 1994 draft."
