Ottawa's own: Canadian trailblazer anchoring the Bears' D-line

Neville Gallimore was born in Ottawa, Ontario, to parents from Jamaica. He transferred to Canada Prep Academy in St. Catharines, Ontario, drew 30 scholarship offers from U.S. schools, and chose Oklahoma.

Gallimore redshirted in 2015 and became a fixture on the Sooners' defensive line from 2016 to 2019. As a senior he started all 14 games and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors. He finished his OU career with 148 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, nine sacks, five forced fumbles and three College Football Playoff appearances.

The Dallas Cowboys picked him in the third round (82nd overall) of the 2020 NFL draft, and he played in Dallas through 2023. After stops with the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams in 2024 and the Indianapolis Colts in 2025, he signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Chicago Bears on March 11, 2026.

As of October 8, 2026, Gallimore is an active nose tackle for the Bears.
