A Pro Bowl MVP as a rookie, then seven selections in nine seasons

Adrian Peterson made an immediate splash in the Pro Bowl. After his 2007 rookie season he ran 16 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the NFC's 42–30 win in Honolulu and was named the game's MVP. He was the first rookie since Marshall Faulk to win the award, and his 129 yards were the first 100-yard Pro Bowl rushing day since 1995.

He made the next three Pro Bowls too, for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 seasons, and added a 14-yard touchdown run in the game after the 2010 season. Peterson tore his ACL and MCL late in 2011, but he came back to run for 2,097 yards in 2012, nine yards short of Eric Dickerson's single-season record. That earned his fifth selection.

He was picked again after the 2013 season but couldn't play because of injury, and Green Bay rookie Eddie Lacy took his place. His seventh and final selection came in 2015, when he was leading the NFL in rushing at the time of the vote. That tied him with Ron Yary for fourth-most Pro Bowls in Vikings history. The Vikings also noted he held the Pro Bowl record for career rushing touchdowns, with four.

All seven of his selections came with Minnesota. That's the second-most among the ex-Sooners soonersblog.com follows, and the most of any former Sooner on OU's official list other than Trent Williams.
