Two national titles at OU, then a Pro Bowl with the Steelers in 1963

Clendon Thomas, from Oklahoma City, led the Sooners in scoring in 1956 and 1957 and led the nation in scoring in 1956. He helped OU win national championships in 1955 and 1956 and was a consensus All-American in 1957.

The Los Angeles Rams took him in the second round of the 1958 draft. After four seasons with the Rams he was traded to Pittsburgh, where he played seven more. He was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1963 season, when he was also an AP second-team All-Pro.

He played 11 NFL seasons, then founded a chemical company in Oklahoma City. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
