An Outland Trophy winner who made the Pro Bowl with the Eagles

Jim Weatherall lettered four years at Oklahoma, co-captained the 1951 team and won the 1951 Outland Trophy as a unanimous All-American. During his career the Sooners went 39-4, with a 31-game winning streak and the 1950 national title. He also kicked extra points.

After serving in the Marines from 1952 to 1954 and a season with the Edmonton Eskimos, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1955. He was selected to the Pro Bowl for the 1956 season, the game played in January 1957.

OU's Pro Bowl page lists Weatherall for both 1955 and 1956. Pro-Football-Reference lists only 1956, he doesn't appear on its 1955 Pro Bowl roster, and Wikipedia also lists one selection. This page counts one, for 1956, and treats 1955 as disputed.

He played through 1960 with Washington and Detroit, and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1992.
