A rookie all-star guard on the 1942 NFL champion Redskins

Marvin Whited, from Hollis, Oklahoma, played guard for the Sooners from 1939 to 1941. Washington took him in the 15th round of the 1942 draft.

As a rookie in 1942 he was part of a Redskins team that won the NFL championship, and he was selected for the NFL All-Star Game played that December, along with Washington teammate and fellow Sooner Bob Seymour. That game was part of the NFL's early all-star series from 1938 to 1942, before the modern Pro Bowl began after the 1950 season. Pro-Football-Reference counts it as a Pro Bowl, and OU's Pro Bowl page lists it too.

He played for Washington in 1942 and again in 1945.

This is an early-era selection, and sources are thin. Pro-Football-Reference lists him as Marv Whited, and OU's page lists him as Marvin Whited.
