At halftime of the Longhorns’ 50-7 loss at TCU last week, defensive back Kris Boyd apparently found time to access his cell phone. He retweeted a tweet that suggested he and fellow freshman Malik Jefferson transfer to Texas A&M.
In Norman, meanwhile, the vibe was much different.
Asked Monday about Bob Stoops’ cell phone policy in similar situations, wide receiver Sterling Shepard said: “I don’t think you’re supposed to have cell phones. If he sees it, he’ll probably take it and snap it.”
Actually, Stoops said he had no firm policy. At least until now.
“I didn’t have one until this week,” he said. “That’s something that will be addressed.” (Tulsa World)
