Jalen Hurts meets with Chargers, Packers

Quarterback Jalen Hurts met virtually with Los Angeles Chargers and Green Bay Packers ahead of this month’s NFL Draft, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

While both franchises are in the quarterback market, the Chargers have the immediate need after Phillip Rivers’ departure leaving Tyrod Taylor, 30, the lone quarterback with experience.

Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network has Los Angeles taking Utah State quarterback Jordan Love with 31st overall pick via trade with San Francisco 49ers, the team currently holds the 37th and 71st overall selections.

Hurts’ draft stock has been rising among league executives and scouts, according to ESPN's NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper, noting the graduate transfer is a ‘hot name' in recent weeks.
