Miami Dolphins release Samaje Perine

Running back Samaje Perine was released by Miami Dolphins, the team announced on Sunday.

Perine, who has eight career starts, was among four waived by the organization, a day following the league's draft. He joined Miami in week 16th ahead of New England Patriots, he had five rushes for 16 yards.

He was drafted in fourth-round by Washington Redskins in 2017, where he had 635 yards in two seasons before he was cut by the organization.

Cincinnati Bengals signed Perine to the practice squad, before the 2019 season before joining the Dolphins.
