Many scouts saw Peterson, a three-sport athlete at Palestine High School (Palestine, Tex.), as rare talent – Peterson reflected back saying he could have ‘came out' of Palestine and played in National Football League.
"Not to sound cocky or anything, or confident, but yeah, I do feel like I could have came out my senior year of high school and played in the NFL," Peterson said, via CBS Sports, in 2015.
