Shannon was replaced by freshman Jordan Evans, the second true freshman thrust into significant minutes at linebacker due to injury. Dominique Alexander has replaced Nelson in the lineup.
Evans finished with eight tackles in the game after entering with four over the first seven games.
Sooners coach Bob Stoops said he wasn't sure of Shannon's status moving forward, but defensive coordinator Mike Stoops said he anticipated Shannon being back. (The Oklahoman)
