Dominique Franks Named Owasso Defensive Backs Coach

Defensive back Dominique Franks was named defensive backs coach at Owasso High School (Owasso, Okla.), the district announced.

“Excited beyond words,” head coach Bill Blankenship told Tulsa World. “I got to coach Dom in high school so we developed a real close relationship.”

Franks, 32, a graduate of Tulsa Union High School (Tulsa, Okla.) previously played three seasons at Oklahoma (2006-09) under Mike Stoops.

In the National Football League, he played five seasons with Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens after being selected in fifth round of 2010 NFL Draft.
